Berkeley Arms

Wymondham is definitely not in the Vale of Belvoir but The Berkeley Arms remains one of the most popular pubs in the East Midlands and deserves a mention here.

This traditional village pub shot to fame when Neil and and Louise turned it into a Michelin-recognised gastropub some ten years ago. They championed local produce from the neighbouring farms and sporting shoots and It was difficult to get a booking at any time of the week without several weeks notice.

Neil and Louise have now taken over Hitchen's Barn in Oakham and continue to set the standard for fine cuisine in the area but The Berkeley Arms is still popular, albeit easier to book!

There is plenty of space to sit for food but the pub retains a central drinking area which is popular with local throughout the week.
